What honestly amazes me with all of the Uber tales is the lack of responsibility by the Human Resources Department. HR is a degree qualification (at least where I’m from in Australia) and by law all workplaces should have policies and procedures to follow in the case of sexual harassment, discrimination and bullying that need to comply with state and national legislation. This includes a series of steps when an allegation is made that includes written documentation and investigation. How the HR team was able to keep their jobs and not face legal challenges as a consequence of their own negligence is beyond me.
